Parental Workshops

 

The 'Parental Workshop Series' is a comprehensive resource which will encourage parents/carers to interact and engage with their child whilst working on a range of fun activities within the school setting. The range stretches across key stages and all areas of the curriculum.

Why should you use it with parents?

• A powerpoint presentation to use with parents
• At least ten fun and varied activities which can be easily set up so parents/carers can work and learn alongside one another
• Pre-workshop letters and reminders to promote the event
• Pre-reading prompts for parents/carers
• Post workshop tips and ideas to offer help and advice to parents/carers

  When can the workshop titles be used?

• As a fun induction prior to the child starting the setting
• When a particular need or prioirity has been identified perhaps through a SIP visit or Ofsted inspection
• At any point throughout the key stage for which they are designed
